  • Fondant is a smooth, pliable sugar paste that is rolled out to cover cakes or shaped into decorative elements such as figurines and character toppers. It is commonly used to create a clean, polished finish and allows for detailed custom designs.

& Yes, fondant is completely edible and is made primarily from sugar and food-safe ingredients. It has a firmer texture and is typically sweeter than buttercream. Some customers enjoy eating it, while others prefer to remove it before serving — both are perfectly fine.

For character toppers and sculpted decorations, fondant pieces are usually made several days in advance to allow them to hold their shape and details. Because of this, these toppers will naturally harden over time. While they remain food-safe, we generally do not recommend eating character toppers due to their firm texture.
